In 1543, Özdemir Pasha, the Governor of Yemen, presented Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent with the first gift of Arabica coffee beans brought to Istanbul, heralding the birth of Turkish coffee in the Ottoman Palace Kitchen.
From that point onward, this legendary coffee transcended borders, spreading to the far corners of the world through the passion and enthusiasm of the Pashas.
